The !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! over on Ars Technica for yesterday’s scrubbed launch is still going, though discussion has drifted to a possible test firing today of the SN-4 test rig at Boca Chica, and someone posted photos of SpaceX’s test stands:
There is something downright surreal about a company’s test site being imaged and notated like an !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! in Cuba.
Update: Test Fire confirmed
At least modern cameras are better...

Well when Musk’s plan of world domination comes to light, we’ll be thankful we’ve been spying on him.
(Also he’ll promise world domination, but it’ll take way longer than he says, and have a ton of issues before it get’s almost ironed out, but right before he’ll claim universe domination, thus continuing the cycle )

I Would think those fuel canisters would be farther away

I would too , now that you mention it. Then again, this is Elon “Move Fast and Break Things” Musk we’re talking about.

Nah, he’ll announce the World Domination® rollout , but it’ll actually only be Tri-State Area Domination at first, with OTA updates once the Dominator’s software comes out of beta.

There’s a berm
, so it’s totally
okay.
Also, I realize it’s not on an oft traveled road, but it’s ridiculous that they let him build that so few
feet from a public road.
All the Space-X stuff down there looks half assed and temporary. Any decent sized
GoM storm will wipe them out.

I don’t believe that road is open to the public as the us border is a couple hunderd yards away.

It was a public road years ago that went to the state park, so that’d be surprising . T here was a BP c heckpoint outside Brownsville. After you went further down you could drive right off the road and onto the beach ( or into the Gulf of Mexico lol).

Nah ... he’s got his sights set on Mars. Less litigation, more freedom.

Pretty sure those were sparrows ... https://theaviationgeekclub.com/the-true-story-behind-the-famous-sequence-of-thirteen-days-movie-featuring-the-rf-8-crusader-low-level-high-speed-run-over-cuba-during-the-missile-crisis/

Hmm ... so he builds a fortress city on Mars and becomes a ga zoolli onaire on mining and spacecraft refueling monopolies. As all the best and brightest leave Earth for the Solar System the home planet becomes derelict. He then buys it in a firesale. Done.

I was just thinking this looks like some farmer’s junk pile. Is that an International combine next to the test stand?
